Johnson 15 model year from serial number?

I picked up a 9.9 Johnson, but it appears a previous owner pried the tag off the thing. It turned out it is actually a 15 based on the carb and somebody just wanted to avoid a boat registration. Can anyone tell me what model year the Canadian serial number C0049960 might be from? Need few parts to get this going. Thanks a lot!

Maybe this can help you somehow.
On johnson parts usually there are part number imprinted.
By this part number you will be able to find the part you need to order. Also approximate year. It is what i did with my kicker.
Also, i guess you can call them.
