I have a 150 hp 2002 Johnson engine. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to access the trim tilt resivior while the boat was in the water to check the fluid. I am pretty sure I can based on the waterline of my boat but just wanted to make sure.
Also can anyone give me any ideas of what to use to clean the midsection area of my outboard. The area just below the hydrolic trim assembly. Since being submerged for so long, the area was infested with shells and is almost black. What cleaners can I use that will not harm my engine and perhaps further prevent sea life from growing in that spot?
