last night i went to check my lower unit oil, and water came out. the water was separated from the oild. the oil looked good, since it has not been long from the last change. should i have the seal done? at this time i drained all the oil and put in new oil. have never had any problems.

Did you replace the nylon washers on the vent and drain screws? They are virtually "use once" type seals and need to be replaced with every fluid change. Very common for small amounts of seepage when seals are reused or damaged. They cost about half a buck. I buy 10 at a time and tape them to my lower unit oil jug so I don't forget.<br />Good luck
