Johnson 175 VRO Conversion

I have a 1985 Johnson 175 with the VRO pump on it which recently died. The previous owner by passed the oil resevoir and was pre mixing the gas and fuel as was I, now that the VRO pump is dead can I simply put a standard pump on it? If so what year and make would have the proper pump to install?

Just go to the Evinrude site (shop.evinrude.com) and look in the parts catalog for an older V6 crossflow. You'll need 2 of the old standard pumps and the related hoses, brackets etc. Before you buy anything make sure your motor has the second boss for the extra pulse line. It should be there with a plug in it now.
