I have a 1962 Sea King 15 and I have heard that they are almost the same as a 18hp Johnson/rude motor of that time. I have been looking around on ebay and found some parts on a Johnson FD-19 1965 that look the same but I am not sure if that is going to be true of other parts. Bottom line is I am looking for a service manual and I am nervous about buy a $70 manual from ken cook and having it be the wrong one. I have called ken cook and they said they do not cross referance. could someone help me with this.
By the way it is a bb motor from Gale.
Thank You
Greg

Re: Johnson 18hp Manual

I have a small pdf manual for the Sea King 15 (covers other models also 9.6hp - 25hp), it's 1mb. Send me a PM and I'll email it to you.

Re: Johnson 18hp Manual

Thank you for the manuals. I think the carb one will help the most. However I have a 1962 Sea King 15 and that manual goes back to 1970. I think that manual is not for the Gale product it is for the later version of the Sea King. Thank You for helping because I can use some of it. I am still however looking for either the gale manual of the corect Johnson/rude manual. I will buy it I just need to know if the 1962 Johnson is the same as the gale.
Thank You
