johnson 1969 85 hp probleme with hydraulic shift

Here the probleme i have i dont know if someone can help me. Inside the lower unit i have they hydrolic pump inside they have some piston this piston when is work great push the cluch dog to the neutral and reverse position and when is in foward the piston return by the spring inside the pump but now my probleme is that they dont return inside the spring is ok i dont know what to inspect????<br /><br />thank you!!!

First make sure that when you shift to forward that there is no voltage on the green wire going to the lower unit. If there is, check the shift switch in the control box.<br /><br />Are you using premium blend or a gear lube specific for electric shifts?<br /><br />You will want to make sure the shift solenoid plungers are not hanging up and that the solenoids are working.<br /><br />Check the shift piston is not hanging up and is free to move back. Same with the spring, make sure it isn't broke.
