Johnson 1985 90 hp Tilt Trim noise

I resently purchased a pre-owned 1985 center console fishing boat with a 1985 johnson 90 hp engine. When I bring the engine up or down the tilt/trim system makes a clicking noise. It works fine except this noise does not sound healthy for the tilt/trim. What could be causing this noise and how could i prevent it?<br />Thanks

Might be the soleniod or relay's cutting in and out? Or you might need to grease the thru tube as it might be sticking?<br /><br />TMD
