I have a Johnson 1996 175 Fast Strike that boggs down both runnig off the rabbit ears and in the water. It starts fine and will restart every time it shuts off. I just rebuilt the carbs, the compression is fine, and new plugs were installed. The idle is a little rough and there's more white smoke than normal. When I try and rev the engine, it just dies. It'll start right back and the same thing over and over again. If I choke it while trying to rev it up it will stay on, but will not plane. I would like some advise before taking to a dealer or having to buy a new fuel pump (which I suspect). Thanks
