Morning , i ended up with a 073 50 R
two cylinder outboard. Ended up buying a manual on Ebay to assist me with fault finding.
I am unable to get spark. The engine has good compression
What i have done so far is
Measured the plug coils - ended up replacing them - wasn't to costly
Change the powerpack whit OEM one
Measured the resistance on the coils under the flywheel - they are within the manuals range
Suspected the kill switch was a problem - confirm its normally open - grounded it will prevent the circuit from working so it should have spark when N/O
The motor is in neutral and should be able to generate spark when turning
It appears that there is a switch missing when throttle is in closed / idling position but the wiring diagram doesnt reference anything ..
Ill post some picture of above missing switch
Hopefully someone can help me fast track fault finding and get it working
Regards
