How do you get the lower cowling apart on a Johnson 200 96 model Offshore? Someone told me he thought you had to remove the power head?<br />Thanks for any help

There are screws on the front and rear inside and out of the lower engine pan that must be removed. In fact I don't think the powerhead can be removed with the lower engine pan on. These screws I belive have a 3/8" bolt head on them that also incorporates a slot for a screwdriver.<br />Good Luck
