Further to my earlier post today the attacched photo is of two parts recovered
following the accidental damage to the shallow water/tilt mechanism. Although it look like one part in the photo there are two parts one of which is bent out of its original straight profile.
Lost parts are what I am trying to identify.IMG_20240920_173025.jpg

Both of your posted md numbers are incorrect I believe.

Pretty sure it's this model. J25TESNF

Try this site of the midsection area. Lots of parts and may get confusing. I have one so if you get stuck try and give more details and I can send pictures.

Best of luck.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. You are indeed correct re. the Model number. We dont have a Johnson/Evinrude (Now Bombardier) shop in this region. I would indeed appreciate some close up photos of the tilt & lock mechanism. It would help a great deal to see some clear close up images.
Thank You
JH

As a P M thing. There is NO NO reason to always lock down any motor during normal boating. I never lock down any motor that is going into shore lines.
Only time I lock down a motor is about 1/4 mile from a docking area I am going to enter.

Okay....had to hurry off to work so a few terms are wrong but this video should give you some clues. If you need a close up of something let me know.

Thank you for the video, it is extremly helpful. I appreciate you going to the trouble of making it. I knew the mechanism was pretty complex but its so much better to see it intact and working. I will attach a photo of the motor in due course but Iat the moment I dont have immediate access. It is stored at my sons house about 40 miles away, so will so some photos next time we visit there. Thanks very much.
