My 2HP worked fine as usual but when I tried to fire it up in order to rinse it, it would not start.... Low level trouble shooting shows that there is no sparks any more... I removed the cover, then the big bolt that seems to be holding the large rotating bell shaped thing, but it does not move: should I pull super hard on it? how? do I need a special tool?
Does any one has a repari manual for this model? (1985 2HP Johnson J2RCOC)
Thanks!
you can also mail me at pascal_bruyere@yahoo.com since I do not connect to this site too often.

Pascal.... It would be a good idea for you to visit this site often, especially whenever you have a problem. We who give advice on this website do not fly off to another site to answer questions as the answer may very well be beneficial to others reading this post..

You can no doubt obtain a manual on this site by letting your sursor dwell over the top heading of "Boat Motors", then dropping down to the revealed listing of "Repair Manuals".

The bell shaped object would be the flywheel. I assume you have removed the flywheel nut? If so, you need to purchase a three (3) bolt type puller, at any automotive parts type store, whose bolts would thread into the threaded holes surrounding the crankshaft nut area. With those bolts inserted, the puller will remove the flywheel.
