hello: i have a stock 30hp-2005 no choke, im wondering about low speed ideling, to date the
carb screw are stock-paint seal'd in place, id like the motor to idel better, would adjusting the low speed screw show me any better performance, ideling wise. and if so would i need to re-do the paint to keep it set in place.. thanks

Yes the low speed jet is adjustable, # 18 below, no need to redo the paint it will stay in place by itself.
There are other problems that could cause a bad idle, fouled plugs, low compression, weak spark, idle not set properly.

Daviet: thanks for the input, I doubt it's anything but the adjustment as the motor has 100 hrs on it max.il give it a 1/4 turn either way and see what happens, and BTW im still looking for a 1960 gale 5hp prop

Have you tried any of the salvage yards listed in the "Top Secret File" for your prop?

Daviet ..didnt know about that..been a wile sence ive been on.. fourm.
I basicly need a donation prop.. time's are tough !! very !
