I have an electric starter on my outboard. Can't tell for sure what gauge the wires are that lead from the battery to the engine. I'm also looking for the maximum RPMs for the engine. Appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks

Wires very, but you can use automotive instead of omc. You motor should turn 5000 to 5500 @ wot.

5500 up to 5800 unlaoded with just you and a tank of fuel in the boat WOT

the recomended RPM is what monte mentioned but there are alot of guys like me for instance that believe the engine will last longer if its not lugging and it will also run cooler and live longer your rpms will drop once you start loading up with gear and passengers

Thanks Guys. I keep seeing 4 ga or 6 ga. Does it make a diffeence in my case? Don't want to lose power.
