Hello everyone! This is my first post.

I just bought a 1982 Procraft 1400 with a Johnson 35 from a friend. This is definitely a project boat. That being said, I need to know what the oil to gas mixture is for this particular engine. My friend told me he used 50:1 as that was all that was available at the pump near the lake he went to, but I just want to be sure. Does anyone out there have any idea? The model number on the motor is J35ELCND. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

87 octane is good, any higher is a waste of money. There is much discussion about which oil is best. I use the Johnson OMC full synthetic myself, but some tend to like the cheaper brands, as long as it is certified , that is the main thing.

Any TC-W3 outboard oil should be sufficient. It's available with most brands. But like motor oil, everybody has thier preference.
