I have rebuilt the carb now after I choke it gas pours out but it still starts. runs then dies any help would be great. Also Trying to remove flywheel to set points I have removed retaining bolt and tried my automotive puller but it wont budge. are there any special alignment, Keys, ect... I need to be aware of ? my manual just says to "Remove Flywheel to access points. :confused:

Hate to tell you,but you have to open the carburator again and set the float in the bowl at the proper level.

Enter "remove flywheel" in the Search options at the top of this page. Plenty of tips there.

To set the float, I have an old float gauge and my manual also recomends to measure the distance from plate to float is there a recomended method.

Get a rebuild kit. They are under $20.00. Replace the needle valve and seat under the float. Set your float so it is level with the carb when turned upside down. Do this before you go pulling the flywheel.
