This is a stupid question, but...

If an engine is turned over with the Ignition switch, while the "Dead Man" switch is closed (clip removed), will that action smoke (burn) the wires from the ignition switch to the "Emergency Disconnect" switch and from the "Emergency Disconnect" switch to the ground block?

Thanks,
Al

No question is stupid,I think it is a quest to learn.

Normally the answer is no.

Beyond that, the ignition switch could be miss wired and it would happen. Also a bad ignition switch could do this.I can even see a short in the wiring harness doing this.

Guess we need more info, and some history.

DHP
