This 1996 won't power up and someone told me it might have a power limiter when there is an electrical problem. He said to check the wiring harness first and than the power pack.

Tha battery to switch wire was bad so can anyone tell which wire or wires have anyth
ing to with the limiter? Thank you.

The power pack has an RPM limit function, but it's typically between 6200 to 6800 rpm and not likely causing you any problem,. It's not adjustable, anyway.

Get an OEM shop manual and start troubleshooting.

The person who told me that was an outboard mechanic so I don't know what to believe. Anyone else have an opinion? He isn't the best out there, that's for sure.
