Per instructed, I read all seahorse threads...
But... I am about to purchased a Johnson 4 horse Seahorse on a small Ghenoe:

Model # J4BRHC08
Serial # B103544

I believe the engine is a Belgium, rope start, less intergral (exterior ?) tank motor..but what the heck year is it ? 78 ? The million dollar question: Can I get parts here in US, as it was built in Belgium ?
When I search for a manual, the model # is never included. Also, anybody run one of these in brackish water ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Pond
Your motor is a 1985 model. they have manuals at the bottom of the page. Your motor will run in any kind of water you want, as long as it's wet.

Hi Ponder-ing!

Check this page for parts and exploded views

Get a manual too as Alcan suggested.

Btw
From this page you'll get
J4BRHCOB
J=Johnson
4=4 hp
BR=Euro Rope Start
H=Less Integral Tank
CO=1985
B=Model Run or Suffix (it is B not 8)
Shaft lenght is standard 15 in as there is no letter L, Y, X or Z for 20, 22.5, 25 or 30 inches.

Have fun!
