Hi i have a johnson 5.5 outboard and was woundering what year it is...and is it a good reliable out board for a 12' boat? Model# CD17....seriel #2004837

Model CD-17 is a 1960 5.5hp Johnson, a extremely good design. The reliability depends on the condition of the engine.
