last msg didnt work so trying again, prolly my fault.
I'm new in here so sorry if I'm doin it wrong in advance.

My old motor has no HT. I have power from the ignition switch to the red multiplug, then it goes into the cyl head for som some reason best known to itself. What I could do with is a wiring diagram or could someone please tell me what wires are what on the igniton block on the rh side of the engine and the the other block of wires just above it, as you look from the rear of the motor.

I'm totally new to outboards and trying to get a better understanding of them by doing it myself which is a bit difficult as I cant get hold of a manual here in Australia.

Anmy help would be appreciated

Ok it's late , I'm tired ,and maybe I had too many beers after hockey but what ta h*** is HT? And also what is it not doing ? Does it turn over ? Will it start and then die? Post as much info as you can about your problem and don't worry if it doesn't get answered right away , just bump it up and keep the same post going .Remember when its 11:00pm here its....5-7 carry the 2 / 3.........??????? not the same time there.

Thanks for the reply, HT is high tension or spark at the plugs here. It turns over great, I just bought the thing last week, its been sat in a garden for the last 12 months.
