Johnson 50hp to 60hp conversion?

I have an 04 Johnson 50hp 2 stroke. Was told that you can convert it to a 60hp with a carb modification.

Any truth to this?

I would like an extra 10hp for a few of the lakes I run it on.

Yes, you can change a bunch of parts and get the 60HP configuration, but it would disappoint you and not be worth the price of the parts.

If you really want more power, get more cubic inches. A triple looper 60 or 70HP JohnnyRude would be the ticket for your wants.
