I have a trickle of oil and water that comes out of a small hole in the leg just above and behind the oil fill hole. <br />Is this the overflow hole for the leg oil?<br /><br />This has been bugging me for a while and noone seems to be able to help?

Does it appear to be gear oil or black two cycle oil residue?Have you inspected the gearcase for water intrusion?Water in usually means oil out.

I believe it is gear oil mixed with water so it's bubbly and creamy colored. I recently changed the leg gear oil and it was black (no water in it at all)
