Johnson 60 electrical issue

Ive got an old Johnson 60, 3 cylinder with hydro-electric shift.
The engine would run fine once it was going but every once and a while would not create spark. Also the ignition key would not always trigger the starter and would require a jump. I recently replaced the starter solinoid and now the engine seems to be dead all together (the choke solinoid will no longer activate either). I put the old one back in and still nothing:(
Could this issue be in my control box???

Any help is appreciated

I would lean toward a defective ignition switch...

It has one, but I'm not 100% sure where it is on that one. Look for a fat rubber thing in the red wire near the starter solenoid. It twists apart to reveal the fuse inside. On older models it was a plastic fuseholder near the keyswitch, but I'm almost positive yours is not up there.

well you were right on.
I found the fuse and it is infact blown.

Now... is that a standard fuse I Can find at a hardware store?

Does it work now? If not, when you replaced the starter solenoid did you use a car solenoid? If you did, that is probably what blew the fuse and it probably blew the safety switch too. Happens every day.
