Just bought this boat/ motor and i need the manual for it. No serial number left, so here is the picture of the freeze plug. There is no reference to this anywhere; can anyone help?

There is a number by the lifting eye, but don't know if it means anything.

Thanks in advance

If the cover is original, I'd say late 80's.
I assume by no number left, the ID tag that should be riveted to the transom clamp is gone?

Me thinks that first three letters (RPH) on the core plug you took a pic of may mean "Replacement Power Head", but see what the Guru's have to say...

Thanks for the reply. There is o number on the clamp or anywhere else. The lifting eye is the only semi permanent number i can find.

Number on the lifting eye is most likely the part number for the lifting eye.

OK i found 216-88-3 on the lip of the block. I'm guessing this is an 88 3 cylinder motor? Wonder what the 216 means.

Re: Johnson 60 HP year?

You are most likely correct with the meaning of RPH......its from the '86 to '88 year range......cylinder head design changed completely in '89.
