johnson 7.5 hp?

the model number is OD-16. Serial number is 1207275. The freeze plug number is 1496457. What have I bought? Thanks Tom

Sure that isn't QD-16? If so you have a 1955 10HP.

I find no OD models in my book, which goes up to 1964.

A QD-16 calls for a 16:1 fuel mix, but a lot of folks run 24:1.
Spark plugs are Champion J6C gapped at .030"
Points are set at .020"
