Hello All,<br /><br />Need a little help here!!!<br /><br />I have a 2001 Johnson 70hp. Running full speed last night and all of a sudden it just drops to half speed (3000rpm). Still purring like a kitten.........no missing or sputtering..........just drops to half speed??? The gas is fresh, oil inj tank is 3/4 full and just ran a can of sea foam about 12 gallons ago.<br /><br />After bowfishing for an hour or so it ran nicely at full speed for about a minute then went to a nice, purring half speed again!!!!<br /><br />Pulled a plug out this am and it was fairly carboned on the end but really oily around the base. Plugs are probably 1.5+ years old.<br /><br />Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />DD<br /><br />PS. Just bought new plugs......anybody know the proper gap setting???
