I have bought a 70Hp Johnson 3cyl o/b with model number BJ70TLETS and Serial G03224981. What year is the motor? Also, it has Champion QL78YC plugs in it. Are these the right plugs for it? What is the NGK equivalent for the QL78YC Champion plug?

BZ7HS-10 is the NGK replacement for Ql77JC4. Skyhigh is correct that you should use the QL77JC4 Champions, unless they are unavilable. QL78YC was not used until 1994 Models. OMC's tend to run better on Champions.

Thanks for that. Just that my local boat shop (only one in our little town) does not stock champions probably because he is a yamaha dealer. :D
