Hey guys,

Restoring my 1969 Slickcraft and I am now working on the motor. It is a Johnson 75HP V4-SL 15R . I have rebuilt the starter (turns motor over when jumping the solenoid), added power tilt and trim from a similar motor (V4AL 13F) and replaced the impeller . I am almost ready to mount her back on the boat, so I am trying to get the wiring figured out. The boat is stripped and I will be re-wiring everything.

Old tilt:

Rebuilt starter (boy are those through bolts fun):

Now I am working on the wiring. The positive and negative leads to the battery have terminals on them so I have those figured out. I need to identify:

Black
Black
Green
White
Brown
Tan
Grey

Here is a picture of the bundle:

Here is a picture of the connector in the junction box:

Now I was under the impression that the gray wire is the tach signal, but it seems to be grounded in the junction box:

Well guys, tell me what you think! I appreciate all input, and criticisms.
