johnson 85hp question??

in my johnson 85hp 1969 hydroshift after ride i verify the spark plug and they are fouled of gas my question is that the float inside the carb. i ave to adjust or they are some another think i have to look those low idle adjust ave something with that or anything???<br /><br />and another question its not the first time for this one my forward gear is dificult to engage reverse and neutral are smoot and good i look inside the only think i see i supose its the wear of the cluch dog cant it be the probleme and cant i weld that with TIG machine or anyone no were cant i bye that??<br /><br />thank you hope i have answer for that

Your plugs should be slightly wet with gas. I can't see yours so I' can't say right or wrong.

ok walker its like you say its slightly wet but i see some gas just behind the carb all my ose are ok and when i run the boat i smell the gas

let me explain more my probleme with my hydro ****f the engine run great and reverse and neutral no probleme for the forward i have to give a lot of RPM to engage the gear and you know the noise when the gear engage BANG when the gear is engage i can run without probleme and when i return at neutral and whant to go forward same thing BANG so i look all the gear inside i see a litle worm on the clutch dog but the mecanic boat repair from here say is not enoufth to do that so a look the 2 selenoid and they are ok i see just some litle rust on top of one but nothing anormal and a tested and run good so now i tink the probleme is the litle piston the one push the clutch dog is dificul to return inside the hydrolic pump so i guess is the probleme but i clean with a paper sand and they slide good i took the boat in the water this evining and same probleme i dont know were is the probleme maybe is the hydro pump not run good i dont know someone cant help me please>??
