88 hp johnson J88MSLCCC came in for a check up and was thrown on me . Carbs removed and sent for cleaning , fuel pump rebuild kit installed, compression 120 across all 4 , running on a remote will start up and run for about 2 minutes then dog down .When cold spark tester has all 4, when runabout 2 minutes it drops 2 sparks. Have got some readings to test for the trigger and timing and charge coil but is there a specific test using an ohm meter for the module itself? By the way the ground wire insulation for the module looks "melted, burned away"
