Hey,

Yes, I"m new, yes I need some input.

We have a great old motor, a Johnson 9.5hp Model Mo-12a, serial: j2603763, the unfortunate thing is that over the weekend the cover came off coming down the highway and of course was crushed into far too many pieces to repair.

Now the search is on for a replacement cover.

Ideas? Leads? Anything? The motor is great, just the situation is bad.

MQ-12 I think you'll find. 1966 9.5.

The early 9.5 models had the latch on the top cover. If that is what you had, send a PM, I know where one can be found.

There's a brand new one hanging on the wall at sea-way marine in seattle. They want $150. I might have a spare one too, but it won't look pretty.

If you want the new one: sea-way.com

Edit - I just read about the latch on the top - forgot about that. I think the one at sea-way is later than '66, but not sure.

I looked at the 66 models on the old omc site and it looks like the latch is on the lower cowl. It looks like you may want the one from Sea-Way that Iwombat saw.

I have a 66 and latch is on the bottom. If you want a used one, try E Bay.
