hi.
in last week i did powder painting with my motor.
first i had to reasemble midsection, lower cowl and powerhead(except lower unit is not painted),
next step was to send all aluminium parts
after cleaning i gave this parts to painting workshop to cover them with paint powder and put them in stove for 25 minutes in temp round 180 celcius degrees.
i was atraid with nylon caring handle and nylon gromets in mounting hanger, but they stay intact.

Nice job! I really like to see outboards being cared for like that! Be sure to use the chain (and lock). You have one of the "most stolen motors in America", so keep an eye on her.

hehe
i live far far away from US.
the chain is only for use to secure engin will not jump out from boat.
i like OMC engins.
i start with 4hp, next was 6 hp and now 9.9.
i'm looking for 15hp model from 87-92 to pick up.
i paid for painting 30 dolars
