Johnson 9.9 Seahorse water pump stop working

I was motoring back to the marina this afternoon(no wind to be found). Everything was running fine for about 2 miles, then I saw that no water was coming out of the telltale. I shut down the engine immediately and ask for someone from the club to come and tow us back.<br /><br />What step do I need to take tomorrow to fix this? I'm assuming I have have to change the water impeller what else do I have to check?<br /><br />Tx for your help

the pee hole could just be stopped up too, run a small piece of wire up in it and see if it works then. did you notice any change in the motor that would indicate overheating? stick it in a barrel and fire it up for a minute to see if it is just stopped up and if it gets too hot to touch the cylinder head.

Mikeyzx2,<br /><br />Yes the motor was hotter to the touch than usually and I couldn't see any water coming out with the exhaust fume.
