Johnson 9.9

I have an older model Johnson 9.9 on a 12 ft. miniboat. By myself it will plane out and go about 20mph. Loaded with my fat partner and the livewell full, no plane or speed. Someone said the carb on a 9.9 and 15 was the only difference. Any suggestions for performance enhancers. Our miniboat club has a 10 hp max.

Hi Wart,<br />Trying to cheat huh.

<br />It does work on sone years check the block part no.s tosee if they are the same, if o then the biger carb should work ok. Be advised that the motor won't idle like the one you have now. You could put on a smaller prop to help in planing heavy loads.<br />...have fun...corm
