I have, according to a internet search, a 1984 Johnson 90 HP outboard. The boat was given to me and is the first boat I have ever owned or worked on. I am trying to get the motor ready to lift off the transom and have everything disconnected except these two wires that I am assuming are the tilt and trim wires. I don't see any way to disconnect them (and I can't even get a decent picture of the top wire) with the motor attached to the boat. Do I need to lift the motor off to gain access from the backside or should I be able to get the wires off with it still on the boat. According to the tag this motor is model J90MLCRD if that helps. Thanks in advance
