Johnson A type Questions

Hi all, Please excuse me as this motor is at the cottage right now, so I can't provide exact model or serial #s. I have a 20's Johnson 3hp that is in remarkable condition with one huge caveat. One of the cylinders has what appears to be a hole in it. I know this'll sound ridiculous, but there isn't some sort of frost plug or something for the side of the cylinder is there? Other than that the only other thing missing in the gas cap. I even had the original shipping crate at one point......I'm really kicking myself now.....it got turned into a coffee table then went at a garage sale.....ah youth. Is this motor restorable? Can the cylinder be brazed or something??? More sense to part out? It actually runs on one clylinder right now. I'm kind of lost with what to do with this motor.....it really is pretty, any thoughts???

I can't be much help as that one is a little too old for me. I think there may be a frost plug, but I don't know for sure. Don't part it out.
