Johnson aqua bouy

Has anyone heard of these?There is one for sale and it is from the sixties.Has on part that floats on the surface and comes with hoses and diving masks.

I've heard of Aqua Buddha, but not Aqua Boy.

They quit making them because the exhaust from Lawn Boy lawn mower mtr they had on them under the right conditions could get back into the air pump air which you were breathing under water.

No. That was because they stopped making the "Quiet Rider". LOL.

I don't know. I think if they would have built more race cars, from the old 50hps of the late 40's, they could have done better.

I kinda would like to see someone take one of the 300hp outboard powerheads and put it in a race car. That should be radical

The exhaust goes up and out the mast, blowing straight up. The breathing air comes from under the top shroud. Ok, so it is possible that the engine's exhaust gasket could leak, putting exhaust under the shroud. I've never personally seen it happen, but if improperly serviced or (not) maintained, it could be possible.

The main thing I didn't care for is the air smells like a hot lawn mower. Which it is.

That's kinda what I was thinking although there is a distinct difference between a 2 stroke water cooled exhaust and an air cooled lawn mower exhaust.
