Does this look right? '78, Johnson, 150 hp. When I took off my carbs to rebuild they did'nt have this little clip or spring on the needle valve. This is my best guess to where it goes. You are looking at the carb upside down, the seat is on the bottom and the float is on the left. Can someone please tell me if I have it right?

X2 the clip is to un-stick the needles rubber tip should it get stuck in the seat hole, looks to be installed correctly.

To test blow into the fuel inlet as you have it pictured. You should not be able to.

Now flip the carb so that the needle opens, you should now be able to blow into the nipple.
