My restoration of a 5.5 cd 12 is going well, Ive had some problem's but I worked through them and learned alot, thanks in part to the folks on this fourm. Now I'm having trouble finding a hood holdown wingnut, when I got the motor one was broken off and I had to drill it out. Short of buying another motor for the part, I haven't found one. Mabey someone on here has one they could part with, for a fee of course..thanks in advance...tony

I would agree with both posts above have had good luck with both. Doug usually has most parts and if not knows who to direct you to that will have them.

Ahhh Yes A CD-12 Great motors and owned several in the past. I have one on my "to restore" list now. Yours must be one of the last CD-12's with the wing nuts. They switched to a simple slip off cover during that year, so a cover and/or screw for a '54 will work too.

I likely have some if you haven't found one already. Shoot me a message tomorrow on my website so I don't forget.
