I have an '83 Johnson 60hp 2-cyl that someone had put a Morse single lever control on. The problem I'm having is that there is very little throttle movement in reverse as the linkage to the control doesn't have room to move under my console. The other problem is something is now wrong with forward throttle. I have to move the lever further and further to maintain speed and wide open throttle now isn't nearly as high an RPM or as fast as it used to be. I'm guessing either a cable is stretching or something is loose somewhere.
The question is...is there a decent single lever top-mount control that I could use/switch to....and is it affordable? What would it be? Part # ??
