Just purchased a 1978 model 35el78r Johnson 35hp Sea Horse Mag Flash CD that did not come with the control box or the cables. Does any on know where I can get these its for a pontoon I need a shift cable and throttle cable to hook to the motor and a control box for the console on the boat. Thanks Bill
I also need the wire harness with the black plug that goes mto the battery and ignition

That engine should have the big red plug under the hood. You can look around on ebay or go to one of the salvage yards listed in the top secret files. If you want new you can go to;

shop.evinrude.com

But they aren't cheap!!

The plug is black with 5 prongs 2 larger and 3 smaller I need the female end that goes to the battery and ignition.

You can order a new wiring harness. You will also have to purchase a ignition switch.

For controls you can either use a two handle simplex or the newer style.
