Johnson / Evinrude Outboard Motor Stand

Occasionally I run across a 1950's era OB stand, with either a Johnson or Evinrude logo. A simple aluminum plate with steel legs. I believe they were mainly used to display motors ina dealer's showroom.

Anyone know if these were available from OMC as a part, or were they strictly a dealer item?
