I have a 1972 50th anniversary hydro electric shift. Can anyone confirm if the lower unit in this ad will fit my application?

I included a pic of my motor to help confirm.

You need to look for a 1971 or 1972 electric shift from a 2 cylinder 50 HP they are the only 2 models that will work for you

I might have confused the situation. I have a 65 hp three cylinder from 1972 model is 65esl 72. visually mine looks the same as the one on craigslist.

The 3 cylinder lower unit will fit a 1972 3 cylinder.-----The 68 to 72 units on the 3 cylinder are not all the same internally but they will interchange.-----I am not going to go into the details of the internal difference today.

My setup runs and drives perfectly and I use it several times a week but reverse is out. I am sure its out mechanically tho. I can hear it try to get into reverse but it just grinds. I have gotten shavings out of the lower (prob the reverse gear I assume) Other than reverse it is 100% usable.
