johnson javilin 85hp?

I got a chance to buy an 85 hp 1978 looks great freshwater ran guy says just had carbs rebuilt and new water pump put in trim tilt works also.. If anyone has any experience with these engines let me know is it a good type? and do you think it is worth $760.00..Thanks

If it is clean and runs good it is well worth the money. These were, and continue to be, great engines. Just to be sure run a compression check and check the color of the oil in the LU.
