I have a 1967 Johnson 33 electric start that I was changing the lower unit oil on and I think I screwed up. I took the wrong screw out on the bottom and according to my parts manual its called a spindle screw. I try to put it back in but there is a pawl or a dog in the way so I stuck a spring puller tool in there to move it out of the way but it keeps springing back. Is there a way to get this screw back in short of taking the entire lower unit apart?
