Hello,

I recently purchased an 89 Bass Tracker. It is 16ft long and has a 90 hp Johnson Tracker motor. I have to find the serial number of the motor so I can get a title for it in Ohio. I bought the boat in Ky and they do not have the same rules as Ohio. Anyone have any idea where the serial numbers may be located?

I found some patent numbers on the carb breather but no stamped number visible on the outside that I can find. I hate to start taking off parts looking for a number if someone has any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Oh yea, There will probably be some more questions to come. :)

There should be numbers on the stern bracket. If not, remove the cover and on the top between the flywheel and the head there may be a small round plug (called a welsh plug) with a number stamped on it. You can use that as a serial number. With that same number, you can call Evinrudes customer service (from web site) and they will give you the detailed model number from it as well. Best of luck. Rick.
