Johnson Power Trim/Tilt Unit Add-on

Hello all,

What is involved in adding a power trim and tilt unit to a 1990 Johnson 70 that doesn't have it? Is the motor and clamp assembly the same but for the PTT unit - that is, can I just buy the unit from eBay and add it on, provided I have the controls (which I do), or are there other mods that need to be made?

You need to go to the iboats store and get a CMC TT, it will bolt right up and work the first time and comes with a warranty.

Buying a tt off Ebay you don't know what you are getting and you have to disassemble the mounting bracket ect ect and then it may or may not work.

The CMC will be on and ready to go in less than 2 hours, had mine on for 4 years and it has never missed a beat.

If you do go this route skip the trim gauge, I spent the extra money and never even look at the gauge, you just get used to where it should be after a trip or two.
