Been looking for one, and they seem to be very hard to find. If there's a Sierra kit for it, I don't know what the number is. I did find one at vintageoutboard.com, but I'd like to do some comparison shopping before I buy. I'd even consider individual components, but I expect that would be more expensive than a kit. I don't have a parts list for the QD, but I do have one for the FD-10 '56 15HP, which I believe uses the same seals, so I can get the part numbers.

Does anybody know of another source for a kit?

I checked a couple. vintageoutboard won the price comparison in the ones I checked. You might want to compare OEM individual parts though.

Meant to get back here sooner, but Life intruded.

Thanks, guys. Looks like vintageoutboad is my best bet, but I'll be sure to keep you in mind, HighTrim.

I use this motor heavily for one week of the year on a fishing trip to the St. Lawrence River. Works great on my 13' Feathercraft. The rest of the time it's stored hanging on a wall in my barn. The last few years I've noticed that while in storage the oil leaks out of the gearcase. I see it from the back of the prop, so it must be either the prop shaft seal or that O-ring that's there. Fortunately, it doesn't leak enough to say-so - yet - while in the water being used. But it's only a matter of time before it does, so I'd better get off the dime and fix it.
