Johnson RDE-19 35 horse

I'm as new as you can be to boating. I've had this motor sitting around for awhile now and just started to want to tinker with it but have no idea where to begin. I read on here to find the ID badge the numbers I got were 1647406 above that was RDE 19. The boat I'd want to put it on isn't set up for a steering wheel but am I better off to try and sell it to get a twist throttle and manual steering or can I convert it? Any help is appreciated. And again this is the first time in 23 years of my life I've thought about anything boating.

Thats what I'll do then I just thought I had something worth fixing up. Any ideas what one would go for? $1.00-????? I can get a few pictures tomorrow and post so you know exactly what condition but I'm willing to bet it's sat in the same place for my whole life and then some and I'm 23......
